WELCOME TO NRCBS
University Grants Commission is creating networking resource centres in various subjects at leading University Departments in India. The major objectives of the centres are to promote collaborative research, to create access to advanced research facilities and to impart training to young researchers in frontier areas of the respected subjects. UGC has recognized School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University to establish a Networking Resource Centre in Biological sciences. NRCBS, MKU will work as Resource Centre for training and research collaborations with state-of-the-art research facilities in Biological Sciences.
To improve scientific research capabilities towards achieving the status of Excellence in Basic Scientific Research.
Mission: 
To promote and disseminate scientific knowledge and to mentor young researchers and faculty members in their scientific research. UGC-Networking Resource Centre in Biological Sciences in Madurai Kamaraj University consists of set of inter-disciplinary, multi-department team of investigators.
